Itinerary

Friday, March 11:

  • (If you want to spend the night at the Annex) Meet at the Annex at 5:00 pm

  • Go grocery shopping at HEB

  • Cook pizza for dinner (buy at HEB)

  • Pack the cooking equipment

  • Pack the cars

Saturday, March 12:

  • Arrive at Annex no later than 5:30 am (unless you're spending the night)

  • Depart from Annex by 6:00 am

  • Eat lunch at Urbanoskvy Park (Flint Ave, Lubbock, TX 79409)

  • Arrive at Albuquerque KOA (10 hr drive total) 12400 Skyline Rd NE, Albuquerque NM 87123

Sunday, March 13:

  • Wake up at 5:30 am

  • Depart from KOA by 6:30 am

  • Stop for Lunch at Kayenta Recreation Park in Kayenta AZ

  • Arrive at Zion National Park (9 hr drive total)

Monday, March 14:

  • Hike the Angels Landing trail (5 miles)

Tuesday, March 15:

  • Hike the Emerald Pool Trail (2.5 miles)

  • Stop for lunch whenever

  • Hike the Middle Fork Talor Creek Trail (5 miles)

Wednesday, March 16:

  • Hike the Jolly Gulch Trail (5.8 miles)

Thursday, March 17:

  • Wake up at 7:00 am

  • Depart from Zion by 8:00 am

  • Stop at Happy Camper Market (95 Zion Park Blvd Springdale, UT 84767) for groceries

  • Drive to Little Hollywood Land (1.5 hr drive)

  • Eat Lunch and adventure at Little Hollywood Land

  • Drive to Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park (1.5 hr drive)

  • Adventure at Coral Pink Sand Dunes

Friday, March 18:

  • Depart from Coral Pink Sand Dunes

  • Drive to the Inchworm Arch (1.5 hr drive) and hike to see it

  • Drive to Johnson Canyon Movie Set (30 min drive) and explore

  • Stop for lunch at a scenic overlook along the way

  • Drive to Vermilion Cliffs Historical Monument (1.5 hr drive)

  • Hike the White Pocket at Vermillion Cliffs

  • Drive to Page Lake Powell Campground

Saturday, March 19:

  • Wake up at 7:00 am

  • Depart from Page Lake Powell Campground

  • Lunch at Pizza Edge (US Hwy 191 & 264 Junction Burnside, AZ 86505)

  • Arrive at Albuquerque KOA (6.5 hr drive total)

Sunday, March 20:

  • Depart from KOA

  • Lunch at Prairie Dog Town (MacKenzie Park Rd, Lubbock, TX 79401)

  • Arrive at Annex (10 hr drive)

  • Breakfast: Bagels/muffins

    • Ingredients: containers from H-E-B

  • Lunch: Chicken Salad

    • Ingredients: chicken, mayo, dijon mustard, celery, onions, croissant package

  • Dinner: Boil in a bag tacos

    • Ingredients: boil in a bag beef, boil in a bag rice, boil in a bag refried pinto beans, cheese, lettuce, tortillas

Sunday, March 13:

  • Breakfast: oatmeal

    • Ingredients: quaker oats variety box

  • Lunch: Meat and cheese or pb&j Sandwiches

    • Ingredients: sliced ham, sliced turkey, cheddar (sliced), bread, peanut butter, four berries & strawberry jelly, chips/goldfish (variety pack)

  • Dinner: Chili

    • Ingredients: fritos, various (vegetarian and Rickey’s scoutmaster recipe) chili

  • Dessert: Steve’s blueberry cobbler

    • Ingredients: 6 cups fresh blueberries, 1 large lemon, 1 pint whole milk, reddi whip whipped cream can

Monday, March 14:

  • Breakfast: breakfast tacos

    • Ingredients: tortillas, eggs, potatoes, onions, cheese, salsa

  • Lunch: BYO (backpacking)

    • Ingredients: N/A

  • Dinner: grilled cheese sandwiches & tomato soup

    • Ingredients: butter, bread, ham, cheddar (sliced), tomato soup

  • Dessert: Dump cake

    • Ingredients: 1-2 cans peaches, 1 box yellow cake mix, butter(optional), whipped cream

Tuesday, March 15:

  • Breakfast: Pancakes

    • Ingredients: 1 box of just add water pancakes, butter, sausages, chocolate chips (optional), syrup

    • Ingredients: N/A

    • Ingredients: 2 lbs. lean ground beef, 2 tsp. minced garlic, 1 large onion, chopped, 2 26-oz. jars of spaghetti sauce, ½ tsp. Salt, ½ tsp. ground black pepper, 2 tsp. Italian seasoning blend, 2 15-ounce tubs of ricotta cheese, 2 eggs, 1 16-ounce box lasagna noodles, uncooked, 6 cups (1½ pounds) mozzarella cheese
